Salvia divinorum is a plant native to Mexico that has psychedelic properties. Due to it being a recently discovered plant by Western man, salvia divinorum was legal and widely used in the 2000’s. It remains legal in a number of states, but soon after salvia hit the states, people began making videos of themselves while under the influence of salvia, posting them on the new at the time video hosting platform, YouTube.
While these videos can be amusing to the bored, insomniac viewer who is watching YouTube videos late at night, salvia trip videos also provide an incredibly useful resource for people studying the psychedelic, specifically the salvia, experience. Never before have researchers had so much footage of people using and speaking about their psychedelic experience.
The salvia trip videos are in a Google Spreadsheet. Next to the title is the address to the video. I am interested in any and all salvia trip videos. If you would like to see a specific video listed in the spreadsheet, please contact me via email at zerwiclib@gmail.com.
Users are encouraged to download any and all content in the Salvia Trip Video Archive. You may need the original poster’s permission to reupload these videos, however.
